Intermittent Fasting
In summary, this study looks at fasting in a different light than the typical ideas surrounding intermittent fasting. This study looks at fasting for 3 NON-consecutive days per week, with an 80% reduction in calories on these days. The other 4 days, it is recommended for people to eat as normal, with no restriction.
The results reported that, “Compared to daily calorie restriction (daily intermittent fasting), the 4 days off and 3 days on of intermittent fasting resulted in modestly greater weight loss among adults with overweight or obesity enrolled in a 12-month, high-intensity, comprehensive behavioral weight loss program”.
