Eat slowly
Cut each bite of food as you are ready to eat it
Put your fork down between bites
Chew food thoroughly, swallow each bite before taking another
Pause in between bites
Maximize the experience of eating
When eating, just eat.
Try to eliminate any distractions to help focus on the size of bite and chewing thoroughly
Assess your hunger levels through out the meal, stop when you are full
Plan your meals for the week to have a set plan
Create a grocery list, and stick to it
Grocery shop after you have eaten something (hungry shoppers buy more food)
Limit the purchase of foods that are not intended to be a part of a planned meal/snack
Everything in moderation!
