Eating Habits

  • Eat slowly

    • Cut each bite of food as you are ready to eat it

    • Put your fork down between bites

    • Chew food thoroughly, swallow each bite before taking another

    • Pause in between bites

  • Maximize the experience of eating

    • When eating, just eat.

    • Try to eliminate any distractions to help focus on the size of bite and chewing thoroughly

  • Assess your hunger levels through out the meal, stop when you are full

  • Plan your meals for the week to have a set plan

  • Create a grocery list, and stick to it

    • Grocery shop after you have eaten something (hungry shoppers buy more food)

  • Limit the purchase of foods that are not intended to be a part of a planned meal/snack

    • Everything in moderation!

  • Keep healthy foods prepped and ready for snacks
